Anna Villafane, Director
We are having a clothing give away for the Way Out Ministries. We are excepting clothes, games, baby items etc, With the Patchogue Church of Christ helping with filling the church van and driving to the Bronx and setting up for the event. First there is a devotional for poor people in the surrounding area followed by prayer request then clothes are distributed.
My Aunt Anna Villafane is the founder of the Way Out Ministries and she has been serving the lord for over 30 years with men who come to the program trying to find the way out of the drug problems.
I will post more information when I receive it.----- James Guiffre

History
The "Way Out" mission originated in the heart of God, and was organized in the South Bronx, New York, in 1969. Twelve congregations from different denominations accepted our"duel concept" of combining a spiritual and secular methodology , in order a nurture the addicts back to health, and introduces them to Jesus Christ.
The Executive Director, Anna Villafane, Once an alcoholic herself, left her secular job to work full time in the ministry . Way Out's first residential drug treatment program for men was opened. Soon after a women's facility followed, but had to be discontinued for lack of staff.
This approach has effectively worked to change the lives of thousands of individuals, who are now God fearing, law-abiding, productive members of society. Many have gone into their own ministries as evangelists, pastors, Directors of similar programs, and teachers of the Gospel. Others are holding responsible positions in their communities and churches.
Way out is the pioneer of many of the Christian drug treatment centers that excises today. Way out stands in the midst of one the most drug infested communities of the south Bronx. In 1981, we were singled out along with Teen Challenge , as one of the most outstanding faith-based rehabilitation programs.
A Study conducted by John Langrod, PH.D and Efrain Gomez, M.D., described us as : a structured based on philosophy of concern and responsible demands on one another to change former destructive lifestyles and behavior.
